Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Part-Time Yard Staff member to help receive and process consigned equipment for live auctions. You will line up equipment for display, operate heavy and light machinery, and assist with site maintenance and auction-day setup.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inspecting facilities, managing keys, servicing RB A-owned equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met. A valid driver’s license is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases consigned equipment for auction
• Lines up equipment for display prior to auction using an auction listing
• Drives/heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections and housekeeping or maintenance
• Maintains basic maintenance on RB A-owned equipment
• Manages keys for equipment
• Operates forklift to load/unload equipment
• Boosts equipment
• Performs basic assembly of equipment (e.g., dozer blades)
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Tags equipment with lot numbers
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Operates sound truck
• Holds 'This item for sale' sign
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must have a valid driver’s license per company policy
