Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide support in the oversight of a successful NCAA DII women’s basketball program.
- Coach assigned players, units, or skill positions in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in women’s basketball.
- Assist with the recruitment and development of student-athletes who will successfully represent the institution academically, athletically and socially.
- Attend to details to effectively act on policies necessary and appropriate for managing NCAA, Gulf South Conference and institutional related compliance.
- Commitment to a positive student-athlete experience.
- Monitor student-athlete’s academic progress to ensure eligibility and student success.
- Assist with the strength and conditioning program(s) in partnership with the Strength & Conditioning staff.
- Assist with management of all program budgets, travel, scheduling and purchasing, in line with the guidelines provided by the athletic department and the Office of Financial Services.
- Monitor the safety of conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted.
- Assist with fundraising and community outreach events.
- Additional responsibilities to be assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach or Director of Athletics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the following:
- NCAADivision II and Gulf South Conference rules and regulations
- Sport-specific techniques
- Institutional policies, practices and procedures
- Recruiting and compliance-related documentation
Ability to:
- Successfully lead, recruit and manage people
- Execute strong interpersonal skills
- Apply acceptable teaching, coaching and mentoring techniques
- Counsel and advise pre-college and college student-athletes within established rules and expectations
- Manage budgets
- Oversee management ofGSCvideo exchange program
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance
- Administer First Aid,CPRandAED
Minimum Qualifications
As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set force by the NCAA Division II and the conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable rules.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- Two years’ experience coaching at the collegiate or high school level.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintainingCPR/AEDand First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Previous coaching or playing experience at theNCAADIIlevel.
