Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks a dedicated coach to assist the head coach in developing a competitively successful team that represents the university positively and responsibly, while supporting student athletes' academic, athletic, and personal goals.

You will organize recruiting efforts, develop instructional plans, mentor students, and represent the program professionally to media, fans, and the community, upholding NCAA and Big Ten standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of coaching experience.
• 1 year of coaching experience at Division I level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with NCAA, Big Ten and IU rules and policies; potential disciplinary action for violations.
• Assists head coach in developing a competitively successful team representing IU positively.
• Develops instructional plans for individual athletes and the team to address identified needs.
• Assists in leadership and instruction for academic, personal, and athletic development of student athletes; counsels team members.
• Organizes and manages assigned recruiting efforts and administrative responsibilities.
• Represents the team, department and university in a professional and ethical manner to media, marketing, fundraising, and community requests.
