Qualifications

• High school knowledge required.
• Some college preferred.
• 1 semester lifeguard experience at IU Recreational Sports.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifeguards during shifts and provide high-quality service.
• Ensure participant safety, manage staff performance and policy enforcement.
• Coordinate aquatic program transitions and monitor surveillance.
• Serve as liaison between lifeguards, participants, and staff.
• Complete reports and support emergency response.
• Assist with facility setup and maintain cleanliness.
