Job summary

Princeton University in Princeton, NJ seeks an experienced Water Polo Assistant Coach to support a Division I program. You will assist in practice planning, travel coordination, and recruitment while ensuring compliance with NCAA and Ivy League rules.

The role includes administrative duties and collaboration with athletics staff and student-athletes. Ideal candidates have collegiate coaching experience, strong communication skills, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent coaching experience.
• Adhere to NCAA, Ivy League, and CWPA rules and regulations.
• Collegiate playing experience.
• First Aid, AED, and CPR certification within four months of hire.
• Proficient with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Successful background in coaching, preferably at the collegiate level.
• Previous recruiting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation necessary to compete at the Division I level.
• Assist the head coaches with the planning and execution of all practices.
• Compile scouting reports for opponents.
• Assist in all aspects of planning and directing the recruitment of top water polo student-athletes of high moral character who demonstrate the desire to excel in academics and athletics.
• Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks including CARA Forms, recruiting logs, calendars, rosters and other reports for NCAA and IVY-League compliance issues.
• Work within the Department of Athletics administration and coaches framework.
• Coordinate travel, trip itineraries, reconcile trip reports, and preseason meals.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, administration, staff and alumni.
• Other duties as assigned.
