Job summary

The University of Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated and motivated part-time Assistant Coach to support its intercollegiate athletics program. Reporting directly to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach plays an integral role in daily coaching, recruitment, and development of student-athletes, as well as the administrative and operational functions of the program.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of coaching or teaching experience, with knowledge of NCAA Division

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year coaching/teaching experience; experience as an athlete in the sport is a plus.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules or willingness to learn.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes and support academic and athletic development.
• Proficiency in film breakdown, practice planning, and performance analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach, lead, and mentor student-athletes.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA and GLVC regulations.
• Plan and execute practices, individual training sessions, and competitive events.
• Assist with video analysis and statistics tracking to evaluate team performance.
• Support administrative tasks and travel as needed.
