Job summary

SSF Imported Auto Parts, LLC is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in organizing receiving, storage and outbound shipping of goods. The role also covers stepping in as the Warehouse Manager in their absence.

The ideal candidate will supervise staff, ensure procedures are followed, maintain accurate records, and drive safety and efficiency across all warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Fully understand all warehouse procedures and policies.
• Keep Warehouse Manager informed of staff performance and status.
• Supervise staff and work consistent with SSF Employee Handbook, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a professional attitude with all SSF employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
• Set a good example for the team.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead diverse teams.
• Be certified to drive forklift, if applicable.
• Have a valid Driver’s License, with clean driving record, insurable by SSF under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing and prioritizing the daily workflow of the departments to ensure work is completed and no department falls behind.
• Assists in making sure all personnel is trained on current policy and procedures for the job, ensuring that staff is cross-trained.
• Administrative functions such as daily staff meetings, update ADP, approve PTO, employee counseling sessions, interview and hire staff, and coordinate with HR.
• Safety functions such as ensuring warehouse equipment is working properly, walking the warehouse for any safety issues, hold monthly and quarterly safety meetings.
• Review monthly reports for your warehouse performance and to identify problem areas.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure that operations are running at peak capacity.
• Other tasks as assigned.
