Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supervising corrections staff.
• Progressive security management experience in corrections or law enforcement.
• DCJS Certification and knowledge of VADOC policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of multiple departments including Security, Treatment, Medical, Safety and Food Service.
• Lead daily operations in the absence of the Warden.
• Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to department heads and staff to ensure policies and public safety mission are met.
• Develop security and contingency plans and assist in long-term planning.
• Coordinate with institutional, regional, divisional and departmental management to maintain orderly operations.
