Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Program Manager – Portfolio Solutions to lead underwriting strategy and portfolio management within PSG. This role partners with Program Managers and aggregators to offer risk solutions and ensure profitable outcomes across products.

You will drive due diligence, client service standards, and strategic relationships while collaborating with Legal, IT, Claims, and other support teams to maintain a modern operating platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in program/underwriting management.
• Experience with property insurance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and data skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support PSG by identifying target specialty classes of business that complement underwriting operations.
• Build a balanced portfolio across various specialty segments.
• Align with reinsurance, operational, actuarial, risk and claims strategies.
• Support the established distribution plan and cultivate key relationships.
• Participate in due diligence for new programs with Project Manager.
• Establish client service standards for each portfolio opportunity.
• Negotiate and maintain all Program Management Agreements per Ascot standards.
• Conduct regular portfolio analyses and KPI measurements.
• Summarize findings and adjust underwriting strategies to protect profits.
• Engage with Legal, IT, Claims and other teams to support the platform.
