Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director to lead the Alternative Investment Services team supporting PSG. You will drive operational excellence across portfolio accounting, cash management, valuation governance, and reporting for multi-asset funds and private vehicles.

You will partner with investment management to deliver analytics, insights, and proactive risk controls, while coordinating with third-party providers and internal stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of operations experience; accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hedge funds, private equity, or fund of funds; derivatives; Investran experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio activity across PSG portfolios and custodians, ensuring timely settlements.
• Provide portfolio analytics, performance reporting, and actionable insights.
• Govern third-party service providers for portfolio accounting and general ledger activity.
• Ensure the integrity of portfolio transactions and valuation data; oversee pricing processes.
• Lead reconciliations of transactions, valuations, fees, capital activity, and NAV allocations.
• Oversee cash management and reconciliation across custodians.
• Prepare and review portfolio performance reporting for investment teams and clients.
• Support regulatory audits, valuation governance, and new product launches.
