Job summary

InTouch Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Accounting & Finance to lead the accounting team and drive accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and controls. The role requires a strong GAAP background, regulatory awareness, and leadership to manage complex financial operations.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years in accounting within a financial institution, plus a CPA or Master’s degree preferred, and proficiency with MS Office and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial institution operations.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with ASC and Power BI.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (BSA/AML) and audits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare tax returns/reports and oversee audits.
• Lead and develop an accounting team for accurate financial reporting.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal financial controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree preferred.

Experience

• A minimum five (5) + years of progressive accounting or financial management experience required, preferred in a financial institution.
• Ability to facilitate budgeting, prepare tax returns/reports, audits and oversee an accounting team.
• Working robust knowledge of Microsoft Office, ASC, Power BI, Compliance with Federal Bank Secrecy Act and Money Laundering rules required.
