Assistant Varsity SoftballCoach

All coaches at Rockford Area Schools are responsible for providing leadership, guidance and instruction to student athletes within their program. The coach reports to, and works closely with, the Activities Director along with other coaches to determine goals and direction of the program. The coach is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of every student athlete participating on their team.

General Description

The Assistant Varsity Softball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the Softball program at Rockford High School. The position assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. Responsibilities include designing and coordinating practices, assisting in scheduling competitions, assessing the skill level of players and creating teams, creating a positive team environment of respect, and facilitating communication with the Activities Director, parents, and players.

Schedule

This position will start Mid-March 2027, and run through early-mid June, 2027.

Pay Rate

$3,983.47 - $4,676.25
