Roseburg High School is seeking two Assistant Varsity Softball Coaches for the Spring 2027 season. Pay is a $5,235 stipend for the season.

The athletic director will oversee objectives and evaluations; candidates should have coaching experience and a commitment to developing athletes both on the field and as individuals.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of softball and willingness to apply new coaching theories.
• Serve as a role model for student athletes.

Roseburg High School is seeking two Assistant Varsity Softball Coaches for their Spring 2027 athletic season. Pay is a $5,235 stipendfor the season. Distinguishing Characteristics

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience preferred.
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sportand, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent tothe field.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughtheir instructions and actions.

REPORTS TO: The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluations. JOB GOAL: To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the sametime, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to sociallyacceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride ofaccomplishment in the student athletes. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skillsthrough coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc. All out of District candidates selected for employment must satisfactorily complete screening tests for illegal drug use prior to the District presenting a final offer of employment. The position also requires ODE Fingerprint Clearance.
