The Minnesota Department of Transportation is looking for a liaison to coordinate with utility companies on highway construction projects. This role involves reviewing and certifying utility-related project plans and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
Candidates for Engineer Senior must be licensed professional engineers in Minnesota, while those for Engineer 2 Graduate need a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering and relevant work experience.
This position serves as MnDOT’s liaison with utility companies to coordinate the relocation, reconstruction, or protection of utility facilities impacted by highway construction projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing and certifying project plans for required utility content; identifying affected utilities and determining reimbursement eligibility; and ensuring all notifications, certifications, and documentation are completed prior to letting.
