Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual training plans for the shot put, discus, hammer throw and javelin.
• Provide individualized technical instruction and event-specific strength and conditioning guidance to throwers.
• Plan and supervise daily practices while monitoring athlete development and performance.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes who can succeed both athletically and academically.
• Manage the throws equipment inventory and assist with maintenance, organization and safety of throwing facilities.
• Assist with meet management, travel and other team operations as assigned.
• Promote academic achievement, personal development and a positive team culture among student-athletes.
• Maintain knowledge of and compliance with NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and University policies.
