Job summary

The University of Minnesota Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Track & Field Coach for a 12-month, full-time position. The successful candidate will work closely with the coaching staff to develop student-athletes on and off the track, while upholding the program’s values and equity commitments.

Responsibilities include coaching specific events, practice planning, recruiting coordination, and assisting in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Collegiate coaching experience in listed events is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in developing and maintaining a competitive intercollegiate track and field program.
• Provide practice planning and technical instruction; coach events including long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, and multi-events; assist with sprints and hurdles.
• Assist with recruiting coordination, on/off-campus recruitment, and adherence to NCAA/Big Ten rules.
• Assist in day-to-day operations and participate in departmental activities as required.
