The Town of Acton is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Assistant Town Manager to provide executive, administrative, and operational leadership. Reporting to the Town Manager, this role coordinates across departments and guides major capital projects, while supporting town-wide priorities and community partnerships.

Acton serves about 24,000 residents and emphasizes responsive services, thoughtful long-term planning, and strong governance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, communications, or related field.
• Five years of work experience in a business environment or communications field.
• Combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Aufgaben

• Providing executive-level analysis and operational support to the Town Manager.
• Coordinating departments and cross-functional initiatives to advance Town-wide priorities.
• Overseeing major capital and infrastructure projects, including budgets and schedules.
• Supporting internal and external communications and a collaborative organizational culture.
• Representing the Town Manager on boards, committees, and working groups.
• Collaborating with finance staff on budget development, implementation, monitoring and compliance.
• Supporting grants, studies, performance measures, and improvements in service delivery.
