Job summary

Building Blocks for Tots of Wilson is seeking Lead Teachers for multiple classrooms. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to pass all background checks, and an associate degree in early childhood education or higher.

Previous childcare experience is a plus. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–6:00pm, with compensation $14.00–$18.00 per hour based on education and experience.

• Associate degree in early childhood education or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to substitute for any position as needed, including covering breaks and classroom duties.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and support the lead teacher and director as needed.
• Maintain physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm OR 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation: $14.00-$18.00, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members' breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
