Amica Talent Limited is partnering with an established US-based EPC to hire an Assistant Project Manager for electrical substation projects. This role offers remote working within the United States and up to 25% travel depending on project needs.
You’ll oversee the full project lifecycle—from engineering and procurement to construction, commissioning and closeout—coordinating engineers, contractors, suppliers and utilities to keep projects safe, on schedule and within budget.
We’re working with an established EPC operating across the US renewable energy and power infrastructure market. The business delivers major turnkey projects across utility-scale solar, battery energy storage and associated electrical infrastructure, including collection substations and generation transmission lines.
They’re now looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to their Project Delivery team, with a particular focus on substation projects.
This is a hands-on project management opportunity for someone who understands electrical substations and wants responsibility across the full project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning and closeout.
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, utilities and other project stakeholders to help deliver substation projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
You’ll have visibility across the full project rather than being focused on one individual discipline, with responsibility for coordinating the people, resources, materials and deliverables required to keep projects moving.
There will also be regular involvement with project sites, including approximately 25% travel based on project requirements.
You’ll need previous experience working on electrical substation projects, ideally with exposure to the construction and delivery side of those projects.
We’re looking for someone who understands:
A background in engineering, construction management or a related discipline would be beneficial, but relevant substation project experience is the key requirement.
You’ll also need a valid US driver's license and permanent authorization to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.
This is an opportunity to join a growing project delivery organization working on major renewable energy and power infrastructure projects across the US.
You’ll have genuine involvement across engineering, procurement and construction, rather than being confined to one part of the project lifecycle.
The role offers remote working, meaningful project responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a business delivering increasingly complex renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
If you have experience delivering substation projects and are looking for an opportunity where you can take on more responsibility across the project lifecycle, I’d be interested in speaking with you.
