Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager at our Ft. Worth terminal to lead inbound and outbound operations, manage dock activities, and drive safety, efficiency, and service excellence.

Ideal candidates have prior LTL management experience, strong leadership, and a high aptitude for technology. Be prepared to work about 50 hours per week and travel or relocate for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Desire to surround customers with excellence in service.
• High aptitude for technology.
• Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound & outbound operations on the terminal dock.
• Manage loading, forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.
