A leading fashion company is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer for its Women’s Sleepwear and Intimates division. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with experience in technical design and a passion for product fit and garment construction. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with international vendors. You will assist with tech packs, manage sample submissions, and collaborate with various teams to ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Technical Designer to support our Women’s Sleepwear and Intimates division. This role is ideal for someone passionate about product fit and construction and eager to grow within a collaborative technical team in the intimates and loungewear category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of technical packages for women's sleepwear and intimates.
• Prepare and update tech packs, BOMs, and fit comments with accuracy and clarity.
• Support fittings by preparing samples, taking notes, and ensuring corrections are captured and communicated to factories.
• Track and manage sample submissions and approvals to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors regarding technical specifications, fit issues, and construction updates.
• Collaborate with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure technical feasibility and quality standards.
• Maintain organized records of tech packs, fit samples, comments, and approvals.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in technical design, preferably in women’s sleepwear or intimates.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fashion design or technical design degree preferred.
