Position Overview
An Assistant Technician inspects product functions and monitors test procedures and equipment in a warehouse environment.
Shift Details
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Starting Pay: $15.51 per hour
Responsibilities
- Conduct testing procedures using specialized equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in electronic equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.
- Comply with quality performance standards.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Ensure adherence to warehouse safety regulations, including compliance with ESD guidelines.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
- Skilled in the operation of test equipment.
- Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
- Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
- Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous technical experience, particularly with mobile devices/small electronics repair.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with schematics.
- Handles basic issues and problems and escalates more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
- Time‑management skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Warehouse/distribution center environment.
- The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
- The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
- The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.
