Job summary

CTDI in Chester County is hiring an Assistant Tech who will inspect product functions and monitor test procedures for electronic equipment. The role offers a starting pay of $18.59 per hour, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and skills in using test equipment, soldering techniques, and computer skills. The job involves troubleshooting electronic devices and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Assistant Tech - inspects product functions and monitors test procedures and equipment.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday to Friday

Starting Pay: $18.59 per hour

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot issues in electronic equipment.
• Solder equipment to repair, modify, and change parts, by using both surface mount and thru-hole methods.
• Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.
• Comply with quality performance standards.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure adherence to warehouse safety regulations, including compliance with ESD guidelines.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

• Skilled in the operation of test equipment.
• Capable of utilizing repair tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, and soldering irons.
• Ability to perform both surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques, as well as operate automated repair equipment (BGA machine).
• Proficient in soldering and de‑soldering techniques.
• Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
• Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous technical experience.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with schematics.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
• The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
• The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.
