Job summary

ECS Limited seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to join our Chesapeake team. This role blends field and office responsibilities including supervision of field staff, scheduling, equipment management, and project coordination.

You will help ensure safety, accuracy, and timely delivery while maintaining strong client service and ECS core values. Path for growth includes certifications through industry organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC and NICET.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience in construction materials testing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and coordination of field staff.
• Support scheduling and staffing of technicians for projects.
• Mentor and train field technicians for competency.
• Promote safety culture and PPE usage.
• Assist with safety training and compliance efforts.
• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection as needed.
• Communicate daily with technicians, project managers, and contractors.
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of field equipment.
• Support inventory management for equipment and supplies.
• Attend project meetings and support field coordination.
• May assist with business development and client interaction.
