Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Assistant Team Leader to join our Chesapeake team. The role blends field and office duties, supervising field staff, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring quality and safety in testing operations.

You will mentor technicians, manage scheduling, maintain equipment records, and support project managers while upholding ECS core values and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain basic certifications and any advanced certifications for the work performed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with management and coordination of field staff
• Supports scheduling and staffing of technicians for project assignments
• Mentors and trains field technicians to ensure competency and development
• Promotes safety culture and ensures proper use of PPE
• Assists with safety training and compliance efforts
• Performs field testing, observation, and inspection as needed
• Communicates daily with technicians, project managers, and contractors
• Assists with calibration and maintenance of field equipment and records
• Supports inventory management for equipment and supplies
• Assists with recruiting and staffing to maintain appropriate team levels
• Reviews and supports field documentation and reporting accuracy
• Provides support to Project Managers and Department leadership
• Attends project meetings and supports field coordination efforts
• May assist with business development and client interaction
• Performs other leadership and technical duties as assigned
