Qualifications

  • Licensed in Massachusetts as LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC; Master's degree in counseling or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with adults with mental health issues and in leadership roles preferred.

About the Role

Elwyn is currently seeking an Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Assistant Team Leader to serve as the team's clinical and administrative supervisor who also functions as a practicing clinician. The Assistant Team Leader, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for monitoring each client's clinical status and response to treatment and supervising staff delivery of clinical services to maintain a standard of service excellence and courteous, helpful, and respectful services to program clients.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate the Prism Model for effective treatment of serious and persistent mental illness into everyday practice and intervention.
  • Provide person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed care.
  • Ensure that clients receive effective, understandable, and respectful care that is compatible with their cultural beliefs and practices and preferred language.
  • Direct day-to-day clinical operations of the ACCS team, including scheduling staff work hours, leading staff meetings, and continuously evaluating the status of clients.
  • Coordinate the admission process and treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program in coordination with the prescriber.
  • Direct and coordinate the client-centered Comprehensive Assessment of psychiatric history, mental status, diagnosis, and social development.
  • Introduce the client and family to the team approach of Comprehensive Assessment and the Community Service Plan.
  • Utilize evidence-based assessment tools to match a client's needs to their services.
  • Develop the Community Service Plan within thirty days of the team finalizing the comprehensive assessment.
  • Provide clinical supervision according to ELWYN ACCS policy.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, and performance supervision.
  • Monitor the program budget and utilization of program Contingency funds.
  • Oversee EHR record-keeping compliance.
  • Maintain adherence to program policies and procedures.
  • Perform on-call duty for crisis intervention and staff supervision.
  • Participate in Department of Mental Health contract monitoring meetings.
  • Review outcome measures to evaluate community tenure and independence.
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of the treatment team.
  • Provide de-escalation techniques to aid clients in managing crises.
  • Support clients in obtaining necessities of daily living.
Qualifications
  • Licensed in the State of Massachusetts as an LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC; pathway to licensure can be an option.
  • A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or clinical psychology.
  • 2+ years' work experience with adults with mental health issues, preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership role, preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving history and a clean driving record.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the geographic area.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge and practice of ELWYN, DPH, and DMH policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Must complete ACCS Module Training within 21 days of hire.
  • Participate in other ELWYN required training according to the training calendar.
  • Maintain required clinical license.
  • Demonstrates fidelity to the ACCS model.
  • Ability to establish relationships with internal and external supports.
  • Ongoing education and training in culturally and linguistically appropriate service delivery.
Pay range and compensation package

$73,000-$78,000 per year. Comprehensive Benefits include health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 403(b) program, employee recognition program, and tuition reimbursement.
