JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend invites applicants for a non-tenure-line faculty position starting in fall 2025.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate courses in both resident and online modes to support our Computer Science and Software Engineering programs and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education with activity in research. A minimum of a master's degree closely related to the Computer Science or Software Engineering fields is required. Rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Duties will include undergraduate teaching, curricular development, curricular assessment, and committee assignments. Areas of expertise may include theory, computer systems design and programming, introductory and intermediate programming (Python, Java, C++ and/or C),cybersecurity, cloud deployments or game development. Industry experience is preferred but not required.
