Job summary

Boise State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Community Impact Program and IPS, starting January 2027. This 10-month renewable appointment emphasizes community-engaged teaching and applied instruction across Idaho.

The role will develop and teach Community Impact Certificate courses, recruit and advise certificate students, and collaborate with campus and community partners to expand access and impact through high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree in a relevant field.
• Three years of experience in adult and/or non-traditional learning environments, community engagement, or workforce training.
• Evidence of successful teaching and student-centered curriculum design.
• Demonstrated success in developing or managing partnerships with employers or community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Teach all assigned Community Impact Certificate courses (typically a 2:2 teaching load).
• Recruit and advise Community Impact Certificate students.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support recruitment and program delivery.
• Build and sustain relationships with community organizations and partners to support community-based learning.
• Document and report program outcomes and community impact to stakeholders.
