Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Trial Advocacy

Job Summary

Drexel University Kline School of Law, in Philadelphia, seeks applications for one non-tenure track/teaching faculty position for the 2025-2026 academic year. This faculty member will also direct the school’s trial advocacy program.

Essential Functions
  • Teach three courses each academic year and participate in service to the Law School and the University.
  • Teach trial advocacy courses including Evidence, and other courses such as Professional Responsibility, advanced procedure classes, and other curriculum offerings.
  • Serve as the Director of the law school’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Program, overseeing curriculum, recruiting and training adjunct faculty, teaching trial advocacy classes, and supporting admissions related to trial advocacy scholarships and recruitment.
  • This is a non-tenure track position; the contract is initially for two years with the possibility of reappointment.
Required Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent.
  • Admission to practice in at least one state.
  • Minimum of three years of litigation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • At least three years managing or coaching mock trial teams is preferred.
