Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an assistant teacher to support small groups of students with diverse needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services and track progress using SESI’s data-driven PBIS CASE framework. Advance student potential by monitoring behavior, communicating with parents, and reinforcing skills through targeted instruction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction implementing SESI’s rotation model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks and using data to guide materials.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and independent study.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Support daily plans and track student growth and progress.
