Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an assistant teacher to support K-12 students in in-district classrooms and standalone schools. You will work with the teacher to deliver individualized services, monitor progress, and reinforce learning using SESI’s CASE PBIS framework.

You’ll collaborate with staff to assess progress, communicate with families, and help create daily plans. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with experience in special needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement the SESI academic rotational model.
• Provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and student supervision.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Support daily plans and track student progress.

Education
