Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to support small groups of students with diverse needs, delivering individualized services within SESI classrooms and in-district settings.

You will monitor student progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce skills using SESI’s data-driven PBIS framework CASE, with paid training and benefits; opportunities for growth across our national network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction implementing SESI's academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher in providing customized behavior and academic support and assessments.
• Reinforce students’ learning by assigning tasks, using data to determine materials, and completing tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and accommodations.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Support, document, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
