Job summary

Middletown Christian Early Learning Center in Franklin, OH is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our school age class to support K–5 students. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM–8:30 AM and 1:00 PM–6:00 PM during the school year, starting ASAP.

Qualifications include CDA/AA/BA, childcare experience preferred, strong communication, teamwork, and a solid understanding of child development. CPR/First Aid training within 90 days is required, with training provided.

• Develop personal professional development plan with 10 clock hours of training.

Middletown Christian Early Learning Center is in search of an assistant teacher for our school age class. Must enjoy working with children K- 5 th grade.

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
• Must be willing to work with any age in the ELC when needed.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement which includes 10 clock hours in specialized training.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Preferred - Childcare experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Have ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Must be trained within 90 days of hire in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. All training is provided.
• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.

Educational Requirements

• CDA or associate degree or bachelor’s degree in any area of study. We will cover the cost for CDA certification.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to lift 35 - 50 lbs.
