Job summary

Middletown Christian School Early Learning Center in Franklin, OH is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Teacher for the 3 Year Old Class. The position runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a starting hourly wage of $15.00 and requires a High School Diploma.

Training and background checks will be provided and completed as part of the onboarding process. The assistant will support the lead teacher, maintain parent communication, and help ensure compliance with state licensing and ELC

Middletown Christian Early Learning Center is in search of an assistant teacher for our 3 year old class. Must enjoy working with young children.

Hours include:Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Actively engage in the life and ministry of the church as a member.
• Believe and support the school’s statement of faith (Statement of Grace Baptist Church).
• Agree to abide by the Lifestyle Statement.

Job Duties:

On the Job Training

• Assist the teacher with implementing the program.
• Maintain communication with parents.
• Adhere to State of Ohio licensing rules as well as ELC policies.
• Maintain personal professional development which includes 10 clock hours in specialized training. All training will be provided by ELC.
• Must be willing to work with any age in the ELC (6 weeks to 5 years) when needed.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Preferred - Childcare experience.
• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
• Must be trained within 90 days of hire in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. All training provided by ELC.
• Ability to work well with others (staff, child, parents) and to foster a team environment.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma is a must.
• CDA (Child Development Associate) training is encouraged at some point. Training is provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to lift 35 lbs.
