Child Development Schools in Southport, NC is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support early learners alongside the Lead Teacher. You’ll help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, and joy, guiding children through hands-on activities, stories, and daily routines.

This role emphasizes safety, nurture, and collaboration with families, including documenting attendance and progress, and contributing to a warm, engaging early childhood program.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports
