The Learning Experience - South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms in South Lyon, MI. This full-time role provides a structured, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.

You will work with lead teachers, assist with routines, meals, diapering, and activities, and help create safe, engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in daycare, preschool, childcare preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities.
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on experiences.
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
• Provide classroom coverage and support across age groups as needed.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Location: The Learning Experience - South Lyon Township, MI

Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to grow within early childhood education. You'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to create safe, engaging, and nurturing classrooms where children can learn, play, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on experiences

Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Provide classroom coverage and support across age groups as needed
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
