Job summary

Vivvi in Brooklyn is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a warm, engaging classroom. You’ll help foster inquiry-based, child-led learning and build strong relationships with families and colleagues while ensuring safety and well-being.

Starting pay is $18 per hour with opportunities for increases based on tenure and performance. Full-time staff receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, tuition reimbursement, and commuter benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with young children (0–5).
• 1–2 years of professional early childhood experience.
• Flexible, dependable, and collaborative team player.
• Values building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Working toward or holds an Early Childhood Education degree (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Has 1â2 years of professional experience in an early childhood setting.

• Is a flexible, dependable, and collaborative team player.

• Values building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

• Holds (or is working toward) an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required).

• Is CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.

• Is eligible to work in the United States.
