Job summary

Vivvi Early Learning in Brooklyn seeks an Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a warm, inclusive classroom. You will collaborate with Lead Teachers, foster inquiry-based learning, and help ensure health and safety while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Starting pay is $18/hour with raises based on tenure and performance; full-time employees receive medical, vision, dental insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional experience in an early childhood setting.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not already certified.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Pursuing or holding an advanced degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

About the Role

As an Assistant Teacher, you will:

• Support the care and development of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

• Ensure children's health, safety, and well-being by following all licensing and school policies.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and the broader campus team to create an exceptional experience for every child.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Is passionate about working with young children (ages 0-5).
• Has 1-2 years of professional experience in an early childhood setting.
• Is a flexible, dependable, and collaborative team player.
• Values building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Holds (or is working toward) an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Is CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Is eligible to work in the United States.
