Job summary

Otter Learning in Villa Rica, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time role Monday through Friday. You will support a play-based curriculum, plan and participate in activities, and assist with daily care to nurture growth and development.

Responsibilities include preparing children for kindergarten, communicating with parents via the Classroom Management system, and working under the supervision of a senior team member to ensure a high level of care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in childcare is preferred but not required.
• Ability to plan and participate in age-appropriate activities for children.

Assistant Teacher

What you bring as a Team Member:

All Assistant Teachers are expected to plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children with the oversight of a senior team member. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Previous experience and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements is great but not necessary.

Pay:

$12.00 Hour based on Region, education and experience
