Job summary

Joyoflearningcenter is seeking passionate, full-time Assistant Teachers to join our nurturing team in Lexington, KY. You will guide and participate in play-based activities that foster intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth under the supervision of senior staff.

You will help prepare children for kindergarten, support daily care routines, and maintain active parent communication using our Classroom Management system. Training is provided in-house to grow with the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous 1 year of experience required and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements is great but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities to promote development under supervision.
• Prepare children for kindergarten using the provided curriculum and transition from infancy to school age.
• Assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time, and maintain open communication with parents and staff using the Classroom Management system.

What you bring as a Team Member:

All Assistant Teachers are expected to plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children with the oversight of a senior team member. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system.

Pay: $14.25 Hour based on Region, education and experience
