The Learning Experience in Manassas City, VA is hiring an experienced Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children.

We’re looking for a dependable, caring educator who enjoys working with young children, supporting Lead Teachers, and making a positive difference in children’s daily experiences. Competitive pay and full‑time schedule offered.

Formación

• Previous professional childcare experience (daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team‑oriented
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing, background screening, and regulatory requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions
• Support implementation of L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Engage children through stories, music, art, sensory play, and hands‑on learning
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, welcoming classroom
• Support meals, rest time, toileting, and daily care routines
• Use positive guidance to encourage independence and appropriate behavior
• Maintain active supervision and classroom ratios
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

Qualifications

• Must meet applicable Virginia childcare licensing, background screening, and regulatory requirements
