Job summary

The Learning Experience in Manassas City is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that build early academic skills, friendships, creativity, and kindergarten readiness.

You will lead a classroom, support children's development, and build meaningful relationships with families while taking ownership of your space and ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Previous professional preschool or early childhood classroom experience required.
• CDA credential preferred but not required; background in leadership is a bonus.
• Strong understanding of preschool development and readiness for kindergarten.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities.
• Implement LEAP Curriculum and create engaging literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional activities.
• Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships.
• Support kindergarten readiness through hands-on developmentally appropriate learning.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and communicate with families.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM

The Learning Experience - Manassas City is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that build early academic skills, friendships, creativity, and kindergarten readiness.

We're looking for a passionate educator who enjoys leading a classroom, supporting children's development, and building meaningful relationships with families.

As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you'll take ownership of your classroom while helping children develop the skills and confidence they need for their next stage of learning.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging experiences supporting literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
• Support kindergarten readiness through hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning
• Use positive behavior guidance and maintain consistent classroom routines
• Observe and document children's developmental progress
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Previous professional preschool or early childhood classroom experience required
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred, but not required
• Previous Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of preschool development and kindergarten readiness
• Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activitiesStrong classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills
• Creative, patient, dependable, and organized
• Must meet applicable Virginia Lead Teacher qualifications, background screening, and regulatory requirements
