Job summary

Child Development Schools in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a vibrant, caring learning environment. You will help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, stories, and hands-on experiences that foster curiosity and kindness.

You will observe children, document progress, and share updates with families while maintaining a warm, welcoming classroom. Training is provided to support growth and compliance with safety standards.

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with kids during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $10-$12.75 per hour, based on experience and education.
