Job summary

Joy of Learning Center in Kentucky seeks experienced teachers for a play-based program that inspires lifelong learners. We value affectionate, nurturing staff who support children’s growth and development through engaging activities and teamwork.

As a Teacher you plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, prepare children for kindergarten, and assist with daily care, while maintaining parent communication via our Classroom Management system. Monday–Friday, full-time.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 2–3 years of teaching experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education setting.
  • 45 hours in Growth & Development and 45 hours in Methods & Materials.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities to promote development.
  • Prepare children for kindergarten using the provided curriculum.
  • Assist in daily care including feeding, diapering, and nap time.
  • Maintain open communication with parents via the Classroom Management system.
  • Assist Lead Teachers or Director as needed.

What you bring as a Team Member:

All Teachers plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system. Teachers may also assist Lead Teachers in classroom management or in fulfilling requests made by the Assistant Director or Director.

Requirements:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Pay: $20.00 Hour based on education and experience.
