CDI Head Start is hiring an Assistant Teacher for our Head Start classrooms in Monroe, Phillips, and Prairie Counties, AR. You will supervise students, help develop lesson plans, prepare materials, and keep the classroom organized and safe.

A CDA credential or state certificate meeting CDA requirements is preferred. Applicants enrolled in a CDA/AA/BA program within two years are encouraged to apply; tuition assistance is provided. State licensing requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• When applying, a CDA credential or an equivalent state credential is required or expected.
• Applicants who will pursue an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or CDA within two years may be considered.

Assistant Teacher Pay based on Education:

• $12.74 CDA/AA/BA in Progress
• $13.52 CDA/AA/BA Complete

We are currently looking for a friendly and competent Assistant Teacher to join our Head Start team. If you are a compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in early education, we urge you to apply! In the Assistant Teacher position, you will be responsible for supervising students, assisting in developing lesson plans, preparing lesson materials, and maintaining classroom tidiness. As a minimum requirement, ideal Applicant should have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential. Applicant’s able to be enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or a CDA credential program to be completed with two years of the time of hire will also be considered. Tuition assistance provided in most cases. Applicant must meet state licensing requirements.
