Job summary

The Learning Experience in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. You will support Lead Teachers in daily routines, help create a safe, engaging classroom where children learn through play and exploration.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with pay between $16 and $19 per hour, depending on experience and credentials, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement within the center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities.
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance; help prepare classroom activities and learning materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership.
• Provide classroom and ratio coverage as needed.
• Follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

The Learning Experience - Oak Creek is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to build or continue a career in childcare. You'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to create safe, engaging classrooms where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities
