Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Swim Coach to deliver a high-quality, safe, and competitive swim program for all levels. You will create practices, assist staff, and promote YMCA values while upholding policies.

The role involves working with a supportive team and contributing to a safe, inclusive environment for swimmers of all ages.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Competitive swimming experience or swim instruction experience preferred.
• Demonstrate swim stroke techniques.
• Obtain and maintain new hires certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Other required YMCA/USA Swimming certifications.

Responsibilities

• Creates and conducts swim practices as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assists other coaching staff in supporting practices, meets and other team activities, keeping the program goals in mind.
• May maintain records such as attendance and progress reports.
• Actively promotes YMCA Character Development and Core Values.
• Present a professional image at all times.
• Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and SOPs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
