Job summary

SeaWorld is seeking enthusiastic Ambassadors to lead an overnight team focused on guest service, cleanliness, and safety. You will manage janitorial tasks, operate and supervise cleaning equipment, and ensure the park remains prepared for operations through the night.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, proficient with Microsoft Office, and able to obtain CPR/AED training. A valid Texas driver's license and the ability to lift 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Possession of a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead an overnight team delivering guest service by maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Perform pressure washing and detailed cleaning of restrooms and public areas.
• Operate equipment safely and ensure park operations remain prepared.
• Train, coach, and develop ambassadors through on-the-job training.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and adherence to park policies.

What you get to do:

You’ll lead an incredible overnight team in delivering an exemplary level of guest service by maintaining a clean and safe environment through the park. Whether it’s pressure washing pathways, detail cleaning restrooms, operating specialized equipment, or a variety of other janitorial-related tasks, your work is critical in ensuring the park is prepared for continued operation. As a team leader, you will model a positive attitude, a high level of energy, and an unyielding commitment to quality. You will:

• Enthusiastically represents the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
• Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
• Responsible for the development of OJT's and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching
• Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
• Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law
• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve
• Maintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as needed
• Schedule compactor pulls
• Monitor daily labor to align with labor budget and daily attendance
• Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards
• Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations
• Respond to ambassador and guest needs
• Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park
• Track information to complete daily and weekly reports

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• High school diploma preferred
• Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs
• Possession of a valid state driver's license
• Able to lift or move 75lbs
• Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
• Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions
• Able to climb stairs/ladders
• Comfortable with operating forklift/scissor lift/man lift/Pressure washers
• Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces
• Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning
• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
• Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Able to train on and properly use protective gear
• Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
• Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
• Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
• Shifts are scheduled between 12am and 9:30am with weekend availability a requirement

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour.: Base rate for this position is $16.00 per hour and is eligible to receive an additional $1 per hour differential.
