Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the engineering, coordination and construction of civil, architectural and structural work for a WWTP expansion in the Fort Myers, FL area.

The role reports to the Senior PM and ensures work is performed on budget, on schedule and in accordance with contract documents and engineering standards. Candidates should have 5+ years in heavy civil construction and a background in coordinating multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervising/managing heavy civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical disciplines.
• Cost control, manpower planning and scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to develop and maintain outstanding relations with Owner and subcontractors.
• Experience with task closeout and punch lists.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site work, concrete, and equipment installation.
• Plan and supervise crews, review schedules, quantities and hours.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and schedule.
• Resolve construction problems as needed.
• Monitor safety program compliance and corrective actions.
• Coordinate materials, inspections, and equipment with other departments.
• Review daily activity plans to ensure safe, efficient next-day work.
• Inspect work to meet quality and specifications.
• Maintain safety and zero-accident mindset on site.
