Job summary

Owen J. Roberts School District is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning to support the Superintendent in day-to-day operations across curriculum, instruction, staff development and educational technology at the district level.

The role requires a Master’s degree with substantial administrative experience, a Superintendent’s Eligibility, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to drive academic excellence and equity district-wide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus five years' administrative experience; Doctorate preferred
• Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility required
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, journals, procedures or regulations; ability to write reports and manuals
• Effective interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
• Computer literate with word processing, spreadsheets and databases
• Must submit PA School Personnel Health form; Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in administration and coordination of the district's educational program
• Manage curriculum development, instruction process and educational technology
• Supervise K-12 Principals
• Review curriculum on a systematic schedule for revision and updating
• Implement new curricula and programs
• Liaise with Curriculum and Special Education Committee
• Administer textbook selection and adoption
• Oversee Federal programs administration
• Oversee instructional process and observation of staff
• Oversee educational technology program and data-driven decision making
• Oversee district assessment process and data-informed instruction
• Oversee staff development process
• Maintain liaison with educational leaders at county/state/national levels
• Represent the Superintendent at meetings and conferences
